The Clinton Morning Age Saturday March 31, 1900 Vol. 17 No. 83 p. 1 Mr. and Mrs. J.Q. Jefferies were called to pass close to the dark valley Friday evening, when their infant daughter crossed into that fathomless beyond. The little one had been ill for several days, medical skill and the most tender and skilled nursing not being able to cope with the dread messenger death. Ruth Warren Jefferies was born at the family home, on Seventh avenue Apirl 14, 1898, and was a winsome, bright baby, giving promise of a happy life and useful one. Mrs. Seeber came down from Preston yesterday to be with the stricken family, and other friends are helping to make their burden less hard to bear. The funeral arrangements are not yet made.
