Donald R. Hansen age 54 of Clinton passed away Saturday, March ,1, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family, friends and his dog Pete. There will be no visitation or services. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Don was born in Clinton on September 28, 1959, the son of Robert and Leona (Thompson) Hansen. He was an independent truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His greatest joys in life were sitting around a bonfire with his friends and playing with his dog.

Don is survived by two brothers, Bruce (Sharon) Hansen of Galena, IL and Robert Hansen of Clinton; a sister, Joan (Denny) Dodds of Maquoketa; aunts and uncles, Bob and Lucy Melvin, Paul and Mary Ann Thompson and Lee and June Thompson all of Clinton; close friends, Terry and Kim Lanter of Clinton and his dog Pete. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, David Lang. The family would like to thank the nurses from Genesis VNA.
