DUHR, DRAYCOTT, MEYER, BRANDENBURG, BLESSINGTON, MATHEWS, BISHOP

The Clinton Herald Friday March 8, 1946 p. 10 Claus J. Duhr, 58, of 1805 Second avenue South, died in Mercy hospital at 11:15 p.m. yesterday. He had been a patient there since Feb. 12. Mr. Duhr had operated a small farm here since he retired from the employ of the Oak Grove dairy five years ago. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church. Mr. Duhr was born Feb. 20, 1888, in Schleswig, Germany, a son aof Claus and Catherine Duhr. He came to the United States with his parents when three years of age. On Sept. 9, 1910, he married Viola Meyer Draycott in Clinton. He is survived by his widow, three sons, Kenneth, Edward and Howard, all of Clinton; six daughters, Mrs. Arnold Brandenburg, Charlotte; Mrs. Joseph Blessington, Clinton, Augrey, Marilyn, Shirley Ann, Carolyn and Joyce, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Lewis Matthews, Clinton; an aunt, Mrs. John Bishop, Clinton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday in the Zion Lutheran church with the Rev. F.E. Schoenbohm officiating. Interment will be in Springfield cemetery. The body will be in the Snell funeral home Saturday evening.
