The Clinton Herald, Thursday August 8, 1957 p. 15 A requiem high mass for Lt. David F. Holleran, 25, who was killed Sunday in the crash of a jet trainer near Greenville, Miss., was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. today in St. Irenaeus church. Msgr. E.F. Jackson was the celebrant. The children's choir of the school sang and Mrs. Carl Muschall was the organist. A prayer service in the home of his parents, Atty. and Mrs. Paul Holleran, Sunset Terrace, preceded the mass. Acting as color guard, firing squad and buglers were representatives from the Truax air force base, Madison, Wis. An honor guard was formed by members of June Van Meter American Legion post of Clinton. Pallbearers were James Dunn, Edwin Halbach Jr., James McComb, Thomas Riddell, Dwane Sassen and Lt. Edward Lindsey Jr. who also served as the official escort when Lt. Holleran's body was returned to Clinton.
