Charles Payson died at the family home, 292 Fayette street, at 12:40 o'clock this afternoon after an illness of many months. He was taken ill September 1 when his condition became serious and he was confined to him home since that time.
Mr. Payson was born in Germany and would be 45 years of age next January. He had been one of the faithful employes of the Curtis Bros. Co. for many years and was held in the highest esteem by his fellow workmen.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife and two daughters, Mable and Irene, at home. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Zerrien of this city; Mrs. Clara Jacobsen, of DeWitt, and two brothers, Peter Payson of this city, and August Payson of Princeton.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later."
