Oct. 1, 1907 Long Grove Mrs. Eva DeCook passed away suddenly at her home 2 1/2 miles north of Long Grove, Saturday at 6:30 o'clock of heart failure. She was 64 years 2 month and 13 days old. The funeral will be held Tuesday at St. Ann's Catholic church at 10:00 a.m.
Peliga Dhuyvetter was born in Belgium, July 17th 1843, came to America when 9 years old, was married to Eva DeCook in 1863, they moved in the spring of 1871 to the farm 2 1/2 miles north of Long Grove, where they have resided ever since. Eva DeCook, her husband passed away in 1903. She leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate mother, five sons and five daughters, Frank A., Joseph A. Mrs. Julia Kennedy, Sister M. Visitation with the Sisters of Humility of Cosgrove, Iowa.
