His high school year book stated “This fun loving boy can always be seen wearing a smile” and that remained true throughout his life. Bob was gregarious, quick witted, fun to be around, and easy to talk to. He had a love of music and managed to find a song to sing for almost any occasion. We will miss his lovely voice. Bob enjoyed learning and seemed at times to have encyclopedic knowledge. He enjoyed traveling, playing TNT trivia, NASCAR racing, and Nebraska Cornhusker football.

Bob had a long career in sales. His last position was with Standard Motor Products where in 1991 he was named Territory Manager of the Year. He retired in 1996.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Jergens, and an infant nephew.

He is survived by his wife April, Camanche, daughter Sarah (Jamie) Sipes, grandchildren Tyler and Ariel, Springfield, IL. Half sisters Becki (Warren) Richart, Center Point, IA and Julie (Don) Wilson, Carterville , GA and their children; and his half brother Brad Wise. And along with loving in-laws and cousins, two lifelong friends, Robert Seery, Phoenix, AZ and Dave Johnston, Des Moines, IA.

You are rewarded not according to your work or your time but according to the measure of your love.
