Bruce L. Ytsen, 82, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, February 3, 2014 at Mercy Living Center –North.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Following the visitation the body will be cremated. Bruce LaVerne Ytsen was born on February 21, 1931 in Clinton, iowa, the son of Herman and Harriet (Judd) Ytsen. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He married Bernice Hamer on April 29, 1955 in Clinton; she died April 1, 1998.

Bruce was a die electrician at Barrows for 21 years retiring in 1987. He also worked in produce at various grocery stores in Clinton. He loved to camp and fish and was a former member of the Church of the Open Door. Bruce also enjoyed riding the MTA throughout Clinton.

Bruce is survived by his very dear and special friend: Diane Draper of Camanche; her children: Amanda and Avery; and several nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, and one brother.
