Louise M. Herdahl age 90 of Clinton passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mercy Living Center South. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 P.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Pape Funeral Home. An Eastern Star service will be held during the visitation. Funeral services will be at 5:00 P.M. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Chicago. Memorials in Louise’s name may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.

Louise was born in Chicago on August 16, 1923, the daughter of Martin and Ethel Louise (Davis) Herdahl. She was educated in Chicago and employed as a commercial artist in Chicago for many years. She moved to Clinton in 1976 and was employed at the YWCA as an artist for various departments, including the Kindergarten Readiness Program. After retirement she did volunteer art work for the Halloween House of Wonders. She later worked as the Ladies Desk Attendant. Louise was a 25 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star #65. In addition she held several Star Point offices for many years. She loved birds, animals, the outdoors, classical music, cooking and baking.
