Trimble, Anna Irene 1925-2014

Anna Irene Trimble of Fountain Hills, Arizona, died peacefully at age 88 on the evening of February 15, 2014, at home.

Mass of Christian Burial held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, in St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1769 - 210th Avenue, Welton, Iowa. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:00 until 8:45 a.m. at the Church prior to Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in DeWitt, Iowa.

Mrs. Trimble, the former Anna Irene Ryan was born to Isidore and Anna Dorothy Ryan, September 23, 1925, in Welton, Iowa. She attended Welton High School and Mount St. Clare College in Clinton Iowa. Anna met and married Charles Leonard Trimble January 29, 1944. The couple farmed and started raising their seven children in the Dewitt/Welton area.

Upon retiring from farming in 1965, they moved to Milan, Illinois, where they continued to raise their family. Anna enjoyed her hobbies of golf, ceramics, cards and knitting. In 1990, Charles and Anna retired to Surprise, Arizona, to enjoy sunshine, golf, card games and most importantly precious family gatherings.

She is leaving her family with her example of how much she valued her faith in God and her love of family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Barbara and Bill McGarry and Irene and Bill Langham all of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Charles and Beverly Trimble of Superior, Arizona, Thomas and Joy Trimble of Louisville, Kentucky, Michael and Katherine Trimble of Des Moines, Iowa and Patrick and Marikay Trimble of Sanibel, Florida; 24 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rosalie Trimble, Teresa Trimble, Diane Trimble, Dorothy Ryan Strouse and brother-in-law, Michael Trimble.

Proceeding Anna in death were her husband, Charles; a son, Lawrence; her parents; a sister, Dorothy Shanley; and brothers, James, Thomas, Edward, and Walter Ryan.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Be a Piece of the Solution (for cancer research), St. Joseph Catholic School, DeWitt or Hospice of Jackson County.
