Delora E. Casad, age 92 of Wheatland, passed away on February 15, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2014 at 10:30 A.M at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland with Reverend John Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held on Monday February 17, 2014 from 3-7 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland.

Delora was born on June 4, 1921 to Carl and Fredricka (Gerke) Wilms in Kimball, South Dakota. She grew up in rural Maquoketa and married Glen Casad on May 8, 1943 in Maquoketa. They were married for over 67 years until his death on February 19, 2011.

Delora assisted Glen as bookkeeper at Wheatland Body Shop for many years. She enjoyed golfing, quilting, playing cards, and was active as a volunteer at the Carroll Assistance Center. She was also a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

She is survived by daughters, Judy (Owen) Boedeker of Wheatland, Jane Bentrott of Maquoketa and Janet Oberg of Moline, IL.; son, Max (Neva) of DeWitt; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; and three step great great grandchildren; twin sister, Velora Hale of Clinton; and many nieces & nephews.

Delora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Harold & Elmer.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Church, St. Paul's Cemetery, Carroll Assistance Center, or the charity of donor's choice.
