Scott A. Shipley age 47 of Clinton, died Wednesday Jan. 8, 2014 at DeWitt Community Hospital in DeWitt. Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday Jan. 11th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Scott was born on Feb. 27, 1966 in Clinton, the son of Donald and Betty (Bruggenwirth) Shipley. He attended Clinton Schools. He owned and operated his Lawn Care business in Clinton. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, going to the casino, playing basketball with his family, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Scott is survived by his mother, Betty Shipley of Clinton; his brothers, twin brother Brian Shipley, Greg (Kelli) Shipley both of Clinton, and Michael Huffman of Camanche; a sister, Laurie Shipley of Clinton; a niece, Suzzette, two nephews, Kyle and Ryan; a great niece, Heaven-Leigh, and a great nephew, Mason. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters, and his aunts/uncles.
