Andrew Knapper, 28, of Dixon, Iowa, died Thursday, December 12, 2013, in his home.

Andrew Scott Knapper was born September 17, 1985 to David and Jean (Winger) Knapper in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated from North Scott High School in 2003. He was self-employed as a carpenter.

Andy and his son Kolton had a very special bond. Andy loved his family, work, gardening, and house plants.

He is survived by his parents; his son Kolton Scott Knapper; siblings David (Anna) Knapper of Jacksonville, Florida, John (April) Knapper of Davenport, Iowa, Jennette Barrios of North Brunswick, New Jersey, Spring Briggs of Eldridge, Iowa, James (Kim) Knapper of Walcott, Iowa, Maggi Knapper of Maquoketa, Iowa; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Andy was preceded in death by an infant brother Matthew William.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Brother Gary Buske will officiate. A private Interment will take place at McCausland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Knapper, Josh Luckritz, Robert McCaughey, Chad Knapper, Ronnie Knapper, and Allen Knapper.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Andy’s family.
