Roy Patrick Luce, 68, of Camanche, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Genesis East, Davenport. Memorial services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.

Roy was born January 9, 1945 in Clinton, the son of Thomas and Edith (McMahon) Luce. He was a Clinton High School graduate. Roy married Debra Aplin June 17, 1978 in Clinton.

Roy had been employed as a truck driver with Jack Curtis Trucking and had been employed with the Burpee Seed Company.

Roy was an active member of the Community Church of Christ, was an avid Bears fan and Bowler and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Debra of Camanche; sons, Joshua (Annie) Luce of Lincoln, NE and Jacob (Jennifer) Luce of Maquoketa, IA; grandchildren, Azriella, Braiden and Addison Luce; brother, Thomas “Joe” (Betty) Luce of Claremore, OK; sister, Linda (Jimmie) Marten of Texas and nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laurel Perion.

Memorials may be made to the family for a favorite charity.
