Jose M. “Joe” Medina age 58 of Clinton, died Sunday Oct. 27, 2013 at his home following a short illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday Nov. 2nd at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 9:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com

Joe was born on Oct. 17, 1955 in Toledo, OH, the son of Rodolfo and Zulema (Flores) Medina. He married Sharee Emmert on Aug. 26, 1996 in Clinton. He was a veteran of the US Army. He worked at Economy Coating Systems for over 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and liked his parties.

Joe is survived by his wife, Sharee of Clinton; his children, Dennis (Ashley Dean) Emmert , Christopher Emmert, Gary (Jennifer) Emmert , Gena (Norberto) Meyo, Jean (Enrique) Facio, Jane (Luke) Reinhart, Tasha (David) Corbin all of Clinton, IA, Bobby Jo and Sherri Medina both of Wisconsin; 31 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ruben Medina of Waterloo, Jorge Medina of Tama, Oralia Medina of Oelwein, Dolores Meyer of Mason City, Yesenia Medina of Waterloo, Asalia Meyer of Waterloo, Adrina Medina of California, Robert Flores, and Martha Flores; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
