Nancy V. Thomas age 76 of Clinton passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home. In following Nancy’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Pape Funeral Home. A service will be conducted at 5:30 P.M. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Nancy was born on Beaver Island on January 20, 1937, the daughter of Lewis and Helen (Ohrt) Klare. She graduated from Clinton High School. Nancy married Floyd Bernard Thomas on September 9, 1955 in Davenport. Floyd passed away on March 11th of this year. Nancy was a home typist for P.F.C. She enjoyed the company of family and friends, talking about her grandchildren, camping, fishing, playing cards, horse racing and her Sunday football pools.

Nancy is survived by four children; Sharon (Steve) Moldt of Riverton, WY, Gay (Tom) Schmidt of Genoa, WI, Mark (Patricia) Thomas of Clinton and Melissa (Michael) Murphy of Clinton; five grandchildren, David and Stephan Schmidt, Libby (Lance) Dykema, Mike (Genevieve) Thomas and Mark (Alisse) Thomas, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Cali and Seth Dykema and Rylen Thomas; three sisters, Helen Dahlin of North Carolina, Jean (Larry) Lind and Lois (Mert) Schmidt both of Clinton and a brother, John (Rosemary) Klare of Pardeeville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Lewis and two sisters, Maryann and Betty Lou. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
