TRAIN KILLS JAMES CHASE, SECTION MAN

man, Iowa, Dec. 27 (1921)-- James Chase, aged 40 years, a Chicago & Northwestern section man, was struck by a train at noon today, and was killed.

Mr. Chase had been working with the section crew near town. Two trains passed, an east and west bound train. It is supposed that he stepped in front of one of these trains, in trying to avoid the other.

Surviving the deceased are his wife and his six children.

Coroner Kellogg was notified at once of the accident, and was expected to reach the city early this afternoon to conduct an investigation.
