Kathy L. Stearns-Proud Shadle, 52, of Camanche, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private memorial services will be Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Church of The Open Door, Clinton. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
Kathy was born on July 15, 1960 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Maxine (Parker) Stearns. She married Jeff Shadle in 2002 in Clinton, Iowa.
Kathy was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping and watching WWE, Wrestling, and The Heat of the Night.
Kathy is survived by her husband Jeff of Fulton, IL; three daughters, Jennifer (Nathan) Ozmon of Davenport, Samantha (Joseph) Burridge of Clinton, and Tabatha (Doug) Harris of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Alex Westenfelt, Kellar Burden, Joseph and Abigail Burridge, Haley and Jasmine Zmuda, and Devauntae and Brad Harris; three sisters, Susan (Martin) Milder of Camanche, Judy Alm of Camanche and Ella (Kip) Opheim of Camanche; four brothers, Robert (Roxann) Stearns of Camanche, Tom (Sondra) Stearns of Camanche, Ed (Patty) Stearns of Camanche and Kenny (Janice)Stearns of Richmond, VA; step-father, Jim Garcia of Camanche; step-brothers, Mike and Mitch Garcia; step-sister, Julie Arends, and many nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
