Dannie L. StrongDannie L. Strong, 62, of 243 23rd Ave. N. died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Cannon Funeral Home, wit the Rev. Martin Miller of Lyons Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Lower York Cemetery, Thomson. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
He was born Nov. 5, 1918, in Savanna to John and Anna May Wagner Strong. He attended Illinois schools. He was a truck driver. He married Ida Chase Wilson Nov. 3, 1973 in Clinton.
Survivors include his wife Ida; three stepsons, Sgt. Charles Wilson of Clarksville, Tenn., and Harold and Gary Wilson, both of Clinton; and a stepdaughter, Kathy Rice of Clinton.
He was proceeded by three brothers and two sisters.
