James C. “Jim” Clark age 71 of Clinton passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton. In following Jim’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the Pape Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will start at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be at a later date.

Jim was born in Waterloo on September 30, 1941, the son of Harry and Mae (Burns) Clark. He graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy, Waterloo, in 1959. He married Coleen Scanlan on January 7, 1967 in Clinton. He later married Jeaninne Senneff on February 26, 1988 in Clinton. Jim was employed with A.C. Nielsen for 26 years. He and his family owned and operated McKinley Street Taverne from 1989 to 1997 and Mc Swiggins Bar and Grill from a1999 to 2001. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and socializing.

Jim is survived by his wife, Jeaninne; two sons, Jeff (Katie) Clark and Dave Clark both of Clinton; a step-son, Tim Conley of New Mexico; five grandchildren, Jeff, Sara, Kelly, Kyle and Kasey; a step-granddaughter, Mary Jo Conley; a great-granddaughter, Zaylee; three sisters, Patty (Jim) Swain of Sun City West, AZ, DeDe DeForest of Murrieta, CA and Sharon (Joe) Myers of Waterloo; a brother, Larry (Nancy) Clark of Henderson, NV and many nieces and nephews.
