The Clinton Herald Monday July 5, 1971 p. 10 Mrs. Sadie P. Keith, 84, 531 1/2 4th Ave. S., died Sunday in St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport. She had resided with her daughter, Mrs. John Volgaurdsen of Bettendorf for the past six months. A Christian Science service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Snell-Smith funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends may cvall at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Sadie Pearl Wells was born July 29, 1886, in Clinton, the daughter of Damon and Roxie Wells. She married Arthur G. Keith in 1907 in Clinton. Mr. Keith was a well-known Milwaukee railroad yardmaster. He died in 1954. She was an active member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, and was a member of the Mother Church in Boston, Mass. Survivors include one son, Ward S. Keith of Rock Island, one daughter, Mrs. John (Jewell) Volgaurdsen of Bettendorf and one grandchild.
