Howard R. Walker Sr., 76, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial services will be 6:00 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 Pm at the funeral Home.
Howard was born August 31, 1936 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Lyell Edward and Thelma Pearl (Noll) Walker. He married Henrietta Ida Ronveaux August 30, 1958 in Rock Island; she passed away March 16, 2009. He was employed in building maintenance in Davenport, Iowa.
Survivors include his children, Howard Walker Jr. of Salt Lake City, UT; Edward (Debbie) Walker; Timothy (Amanda) Walker; James Walker; Tammy (Donald) Newton and Emily Moore all of Clinton; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Walker of Sherrard, IL and Larry (Cindy) Walker of Middleburg, FL; sisters, Doris Wilkins of Preemption, IL; Gloria Cunningham of Moline and Ann Ahrens of Omaha, NE.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son and daughter-in-law Corlina, brother, Bob Walker and sisters, Ida Schroeder and Betty Buchanan.
