Theresa C. Schaefer, age 85 of Clinton died Monday April 22, 2103 at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa. A funeral service will be held Saturday April 27th at 11:00 AM at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to the service hour on Saturday. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Cemetery, Clinton. Pall bearers are Russell Burken, James Schaefer, Ryan Kane, Nicholas Schaefer, Kristen Miller and Sheri Henry.
Theresa was born on July 31, 1927 in Bryant, the daughter of John and Loretta (Roling) Wagemaster. She married Harold Schaefer on October 6, 1948 in Bryant, IA. Harold passed away on February 20, 1995. Theresa enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting and was an avid quilter. She was a member of the catholic faith, U.C.T. and the AMVETS.
Theresa is survived by 4 children; Nancy (Eugene) Burken of Miles, Larry Schaefer (Nellie) of Clinton; Gerald “Gary” (Julie) Schaefer, of Clinton and Claudia (Bob) Kane of Clinton; 9 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, a sister; Eleanor Gerlach of Bellevue, and a brother-in-law; John Kurt of DeWitt. She is preceded in death by her husband, a son; Charles, 2 sisters; Kathleen Eggers and Eileen Kurt, and a brother John Wagemaster Jr. Online condolence may be left at www.papefh.com
