Mary Margaret Juist, 87, of Clinton, Iowa, died Friday. March 29, 2013 at Mercy North, Clinton.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Sean, Luke and Norbie Juist, Tyson and Adam Bramley, Ben and Jacob Lehmkuhl and Kyle Juist.
Margaret was born May 10, 1925 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Harold M. and Margaret J. (Engler) Beecher. She was a 1942 St. Mary’s High School graduate. Mary Beecher married Robert W. Juist on June 26, 1948 in Clinton; he died July 31, 1994.
Mary had been a homemaker. She had also been employed at the Schick Hospital, worked for Judge Sutton and for Carroll Johnson.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was a member of card clubs and was an avid bridge player. Mary enjoyed all sports, especially her beloved Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Nancy) Juist of Clinton; David Juist (Annie Fabio) of Houston, TX; Maureen (Steve) Bramley of Kansas City, MO; Margie (David) Lehmkuhl of Clinton and Norbert (Kim) Juist of West DesMoines; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and her sister.
