Robert H. “Rabbit” Dunn, 80 of Charlotte, Iowa, died peacefully Saturday morning, March 16, 2013, in his home with his loving companion, Diane at his side.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be at Rossiter Cemetery, Charlotte. Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
Pallbearers will be Bill Schrader, Dan Bormann, Steve Teigens, Lance Bormann, Jerry Mohr and Blake Hardy. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Grantz, Steve Busch and Harriet Simmons.

Robert Henry Dunn was born November 15, 1932 on the family farm at rural Charlotte, to Joseph and Lillie (Herzerg) Dunn. He farmed at rural Charlotte, much of life and drove semi for many years. Bob was married to Carol and she preceded him in death. For the past 23 years, Bob spent many happy years with Diane.
He loved fishing, boating, gardening and was known for his well-kept yard. His gardens were big enough to feed much of Clinton County.
Surviving are his beloved companion, Diane Litty; a brother, Joseph (Janice) Dunn; sisters, Shirley (Andy) Andresen, Janice Bormann and Patricia (Jim) Driscoll; step-children, Chad (Racheal) Litty and Rebecca (Arnie) Lemkhl; six step-grandchildren; nephews, Jerry Mohr, Dan “Boone” Bormann, Tim Driscoll and Jim Driscoll; nieces, Kim Point, Tammy Gerdes, Debbie Boehde, Cindy Killean, Belinda Sulliban, Brenda Dunn and Jolene Decker; great-nieces and great-nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Carol, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda; his parents; his brother, Lester and his sisters, Evelyn, Naomi, Darlene and Lorraine.
Bobby “Rabbit” was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
