The Clinton Herald Monday May 25, 1981 p. 11 or 12 Mrs. Debra A. Boutwell, 24, of 436 9th Ave. S., died Sunday in University Hospitals, Iowa City. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Schmitz Funeral Home with the Rev. Orrin Potter of United Methodist Church, DeWitt, officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Bob Sterbens, Ed Rowan, Scott Wessells, Dan Shirley, Dennis Hook and Don Sullivan. Mrs. Boutwell was born June 2, 1956, in Dubuque, to Martin and Joetta McCartney Siegwarth. She married Larry Boutwell Dec. 30, 1977, in DeWitt. She was employed at Carlon Indianhead Co, for five years. Survivors include her husband; her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Siegwarth of DeWitt and Kevin Siegwarth of Delmar; seven sisters, Sandra, Cathy, Paula, Carla and Christy Siegwarth, all of Delmar, Lynn Siegwarth of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Orville (Carol Jean) Boutwell of Clinton; and a grandmother, Mrs. Anna Siegwarth of Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and a grandfather.
A 24-year-old Clinton woman died Sunday from burns she suffered in a house fire May 4. Debra A. Boutwell, 24, of 436 9th Ave. S., died Sunday in University Hospitals, Iowa City. She was transferred to Iowa City after she sustained third-degree burns over 60 percent of her body in a fire in her home. The woman was sleeping in an upstairs bedroom of the two-story frame home when sparks from a downstairs fireplace apparently ignited nearby cardboard boxes. The woman awoke and ran down the fiery stairs to the porch where she sat and awaited an ambulance.
