Josephine C. Krogman

Josephine Caroline Krogman, 94, of the Alverno Health Care Facility, died Monday at the home.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Parish, St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Ronald Young officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pape Funeral Home, where a Prince of Peace auxiliary rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., and a 7 p.m. vigil service will be conducted. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Danny, Dennis, Tom, Gary, Paul Brent, Greg and Marty Krogman.

Mrs. Krogman was born June 21, 1897, in Clinton County, to Herman and Caroline Jost Determan. She married Martin J. Krogman, Feb. 25, 1919, in Clinton. He died May 23, 1974. She taught school and farmed with her husband in Hampshire Township, retiring 1963, when they moved to Clinton. She was a lifetime member of St. Boniface Church, and a member of the former St. Boniface Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include six sons, Jerome, Kenneth, Robert and Orville, all of Clinton, Arthur of DeWitt, and Merle of Stockton Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Donna) Burke of Upland, Calif., and Mrs. Eugene (Joan) Kremer of Dubuque; 38 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lord, Mrs. Magdalyn Whalen and Mrs. Norman (Lidwyn) Carson, all of Clinton and Mrs. Matt (Bernatte) Amey of New Port Richey, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a son, great-grandson, two brothers and three sisters.
