ARNOLD W. HIMEBROOK
Arnold W. Homebrook, 90, of Clinton Retirement Village, formerly of 1930 16th Ave. S., died Tuesday at Samaritan North.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clinton chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Ketelsen of Seventh Day Adventist officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carl Johnson, Clarence Krogman, John Boland, Werner Wilke, Michael Clemence and Gerhardt Jensen.
Mr. Himebrook was born Feb. 28, 1905 in Clinton, to Albert and Mary Nissen Himebrook. He married Hattie Springer, Sept. 29, 1930, in Clinton. She died in 1985.
He attended Clinton Schools and formerly worked at Curtis Company. He also worked as a brakeman for the Chicago North-Western Railroad. He owned and operated his own painting business in Clinton for 40 years.
He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and had played Santa Claus in Clinton for many years.
Survivors include nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.Clinton Herald December 28, 1995
