Coleen A. Broughton, 74, of Camanche, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Following the visitation the body will be cremated. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com

Coleen Ann Gehrls was born September 30, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Violinda (Krebs) Gehrls. She marred Darrell Broughton on June 1, 1958 in Wilton.

Coleen was a feeder packer at International Paper for 33 years. She was a former member of the Eagles Club and the Moose Club. She enjoyed bowling and going to the casino.

Coleen is survived by two daughters: Kathy Corbin of Clinton, and Karen Broughton of Camanche; 10 grandchildren: David (Tasha) Corbin, Patti (Aaron) Cady, Kristian Corbin, Billie (Cole) Weatherwax, Adam Griffin, Joseph Broughton, Joshua (Jennifer) Delk, Jaycob (Kristin) Pell, Jessica (David Hicks) Pell, and Roger Pell, Jr.;17 great-grandchidren; two daughter-in-laws: Jeana Broughton and Patti Broughton of Clinton; two brothers: Arlo Gehrls of Glenwood, Iowa, and Gerald (Melanie) Gehrls of Wilton; and several nieces and nephews; and a special care taker Doug Sanderson.

Coleen was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Kevin Broughton (5-19-2002); a grandson: Christopher Broughton (1-14-2002); and two brothers.
