Helen E. Stanley, 83, of Clinton, died Sunday, December 17, 2012 at Eagle Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held at Noon, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at First United Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at a lunch following the service in Calvin Hall. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
Helen was born June 27, 1929 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Maurice J. and Myrtle B. (Steece) Lofgren. She married Albert Stanley November 25, 1950 in Muscatine, Iowa.
Helen was a homemaker and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the YMCA and YWCA and she enjoyed playing bridge.
She is survived by her husband, Albert of Clinton; her children, Kathy Eschelbach of Manattan, KS Tom (Marta) Stanley of Holland, MI; Timothy Stanley of Clinton, IA; step-daughter, Christy Foley of Clinton, IA; grandchildren, Ellie, Jessica, Kara, Brittany, Katie and Eric; great-granddaughter, Penny Nuth of Manhattan, KS and her brother, Mike Lofgren of Clinton, IA; her brothers-in law and sisters-in law in the Chicago area, and many fond nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family requests that memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church.
