Roland Witt, 65, of 518 1/2 S. 2nd Street died Saturday in Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, following an extended illness.
The funeral was 2 p.m. today at Schultz-McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt, with the Rev. Richard Hohl, First United Methodist Church, Clinton, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
Pallbearers were Duane Plum, Larry and Jeff Witt, Don Johnson, Gene Heitt and Darryl Sexton.
Mr. Witt was born May 20, 1921, in Scott County to Herman and Elna Seastrand Witt. He was employed by Reynolds Restaurant, Clinton, for more than 11 years and was an United States Air Force veteran of World War II.
Mr. Witt was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Harold of Clinton; and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Marcella) Kane of Phoenix, Ariz.
