Charles W. "Bill" Atkinson, 75, of 422 15th Place, died Thursday at Mercy Hospital.
The funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today in Clinton Memorial Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Jon and Kevin Atkinson, Rick Greve, David Feist, Rob Schultz and Mike Stoecken.
Honorary pallbearers will be all the grandchildren.
Mr. Atkinson was born May 29, 1910 at Queen City, Mo., to John W. and Mary Ann Schockley Atkinson. He married Honora P. "Nonie" O'Brien, April 29, 1933, in Howard, Ill. Mr. Atkinson farmed in the Goose Lake and Preston area prior to moving to Camanche. He retired in 1974.
He was a member of Church of the Visitation, the Clinton County Farm Bureau and worked at the ASCS office in DeWitt.
Survivors include his wife; nine daughters, Mrs. Charles (Fran) Klinkner of Clinton, Mrs. Franklin (Pat) Greve, Mrs. Tony (Kay) Schultz and Mrs. Onie (Mary) Butt, all of Camanche, Mrs. Roger (Margaret) Stoecken and Mrs. Gary (Bonnie) Tebbe, both of Preston, Mrs. Steven (Rhonda) Brown of DeWhite, Ill., Mrs. Marvin (Nancy) Feist of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Mrs. Gary ( Mardell) Dorrel of San Diego, Calif.; seven sons, Larry of Camanche, Dan of Moline, Ill., Jim of Lost Nation, and Jack, Joe, Bill and Steve, all of Preston; 62 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Erma Clark of Ottumwa, Edna Ingals of Hannibal, Mo., and Carrie Wheeler of Tucson, Ariz.; and a brother, John W. of Glenwood, Mo.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
