Kathryn Jean Burns, 60, formally of Clinton, passed away Saturday, May 12th, at the Hospice with Heart - Hospice House, Glenwood, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 17th at 10:30 a.m. at the Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will occur one hour prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Boniface Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kathryn was born on March 27th, 1952 the daughter of Patrick and Grace (Brown) Burns. Patrick passed away in 1983 and Grace later married Ray Leonard.
Kathryn was a very loving child disabled at birth. She liked looking at bright and colorful things, she enjoyed watching the three stooges and loved looking in mirrors.
Survivors include four sisters - Sister Michael Marie (Judy) Burns, OSF, of Clinton, Ruthann Notz of Clinton, Donna (Joseph) Neilson of Garnet City, Penn, Mary (George) Ivory of Lewiston, Idaho; five brothers - Patrick Michael (Monica) Burns of Omaha, Nebraska, Thomas (Mary Ann) Burns of Springfield, Ill, Robert (Susie) Burns of Fairfax, IA, Joseph (Terri) Burns of Eureka, Ill, Timothy (Lynette) Burns of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; 12 step brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step dad, and one step-brother.
