Kermit J. Aude, 88, of Richmond, Kentucky, and formerly of Clinton and DeWitt, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the husband of the late Ida B. Jacobson Aude.

Mr. Aude was born on May 15, 1923, in Charlotte, Iowa, and was the son of Ferd Aude and Helma Martinsen Aude, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired body mechanic with Wagner’s Body Shop in Clinton, Iowa. Mr. Aude attended St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Richmond, Kentucky.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda J. Carlson (Evan M.) of Richmond, Kentucky; one son, Larry J. Aude (Carolyn), of DeWitt, Iowa; one grandson, Allen Aude of Sterling, Illinois; and one sister, Janet Hynous, of Berrego Springs, California.

A memorial service for Kermit Aude may be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.
