Ann (Dellit) Campbell, 92, lifelong resident of Clinton, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory with Pastor Chris Minor-Helig officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Sager, Jeff Sager, Patrick Sager, Devin Letcher, Brett Larkin and Joe “Will” Moore. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Anna Lou Dellit was born on November 30, 1919 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Weber) Dellit. She was one of eight children. She attended Clinton schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1937. She married Clarence Sager and had seven children; they later divorced. She then married Donald Campbell on June 26, 1976 in Clinton; he died December 24, 1996.
Ann had a worked at Nielsen’s Coupon Clearing House until retirement. She had a strong relationship with God was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling until she was 89, walking, reading, playing cards, listening to music, going to casinos, and traveling with her wonderful friend John Aplin.
Ann is survived by four sons: Gary (Kathy) Sager of Ontario, California, Thomas (Janet) Sager of Clinton, Charles (Sheila) Sager of Clinton, and Mark (Barbara) Sager of Alton, Illinois; two daughters: Patricia Sager of Mercer, Missouri, and Linda (Doug) Burgess of Rock Springs, Wyoming; 18 grandchidren, many greatgrandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; her sister: Harriet Rajcevich of Clinton and her brother: Raymond (Dorcas) Dellit of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Clarence, her husband Donald, one son: Daniel, three sisters, and two brothers.
Memorials can be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
