DeWitt, Iowa - Marilyn K. Green age 81 of DeWitt, died Wednesday April 11, 2012 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House with her family at her side. Following cremation rites a private memorial service will be held at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, in association with Christine Nelson, DeWitt by Father Paul Connelly to honor Marilyn’s final wishes. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Marilyn was born on Feb. 1, 1931 in Tipton, Iowa and adopted by Ora and Johanna (Young) Sergeant. She married Keith Ocheltree after graduating from Tipton High School in 1949 and from that union, two children were born, Steven and Kathy. Marilyn K. Ocheltree later married Edward Green on August 17, 1989 in Clinton, Iowa.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Edward of DeWitt; a daughter, Kathy (special friend, Randy Snook) Ocheltree of Davenport, IA; a son, Steven (Diana) Ocheltree of DeWitt, IA; three step-daughters, Lorelene Green-Francis of Moline, Il and Gail (John) Sinnott of Burtonsville, MD, and Susan (Robert) Cassatt of Moline, IL; a step-son, Michael (Brenda) Green of Johnson City, TN; two granddaughters, Stacey and Kimberli; and two great grandchildren, Adonis and Adrianna. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Ora and Johanna, and husband, Keith Ocheltree.
