David M. Wright, 43, of DeWitt, Iowa, formerly of Kerrville, Texas, was received into His Savior's Care, Monday morning, February 13, 2012, at home.
David Marshall Wright was born August 11, 1968, in Weslaco, Texas to Wesley and Bernice (Grein) Wright. David graduated from Weslaco High School. He was stricken with type I juvenile diabetes at a young age which restricted his employment and enjoyment of much of what life had to offer.
David loved to play the guitar and enjoyed all types of sports. He trusted God as his Savior. A favorite quote of David's by Norman MacLean was, "Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.
Surviving are children, Emily and Hunter Wright of DeWitt; his father, Wesley Wright of Weslaco; his mother and step-father, Bernice and Ron Price of Ingram, Texas; a twin brother, Steven Wright of Huntsville, Texas; sisters, Leslie Ozuna of Ingram, and Laurie (Nute) Beach of Denver City, Texas; grandparents, Samuel and Joyce Cox of Kerrville, Texas, and Faye Wright of Weslaco; nieces and nephews.
Preceding David in death were his grandfathers, Jiggs Wright and Robert Grien.
No visitation and services will be held locally. Schultz Funeral Home of DeWitt, caring for the arrangements.
