JAMES L. KINGSLEY

James L. Kingsley, 60, died Saturday morning at the City Memorial Hospital and the funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the Harrison Funeral Home, the Rev. John Heide officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery. James L. Kingsley, son of Henry and Diana (Orton) Kingsley, was born April 20, 1873 in Clinton County and for 37 years had been a resident of Maquoketa. On December 30, 1896 he was married to Elizabeth Myatt and two daughters were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy. His wife preceded him in death on January 26, 1932 and since that time his only surviving daughter, Mrs. Edith Stanley, has made her home with him. Surviving besides the daughter are three grandchildren, Betty, Thelma and Robert Stanley, one brother, E. M. Kingsley and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Skow, both of this city.
