Ottumwa -- Marilyn Jacks, 62, of Camanche, formerly of Ottumwa, died July 3, 1996, at Samaritan south Hospital in Clinton.
She was born October 24, 1933 in Ottumwa to Ernest and Hattie Pilcher Long. She married Wayne Jacks on July 2, 1955 in Ottumwa.
She worked for A.C. Nielson Co. in Clinton from 1977 to 1990.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Jody Jewel of Clinton and Debra Andreson of Eldridge; a son Ronald of Waverly; four grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene McCoy of Albia and Nancy Buffington of Winfield; and a brother, George Long of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
The services will be at 11:a.m. Saturday at Camanche Chapel, Snell-Zoring Funeral Home in Camanche.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Note: Jody Jewell is a son-in-law married to her daughter Carol.
