Ottumwa -- Raymond "Wayne" Jacks, 65, of Camanche, died September 21, 1996, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1931, in Ottumwa to Earl and Daisy Riley Jacks. He married Marilyn M. Long July 2, 1955 in Ottumwa. She died July 3, 1996.
He graduated from Ottumwa High School. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and worked for Champion Packages Company for 31 years, retiring in 1985 as printing foreman. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose's Club No. 363.
He is survived by a son Ronald of Waverly; two daughter, Carol Jewel of Clinton and Debra Andresen of Eldridge; four grandchildren; four brothers, Richard and Jim of Ottumwa, Warren of Davenport and Roger of Belen, N.M.; five sisters, Betty Garrett and Aileen Gilchrist both of Ottumwa, Ida Mason of Batavi, Marietta McCoy of Lawson, Mo. and Shirley McHargue of Yucaipa, Calif.
He was preceded on death by his parents and a brother.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zoring Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn cemetery with military services conducted by Camanche VFW.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer society and Boystown.
