Joan Cecilia Hume, 80, of Clinton, died Monday at Mercy North Hospital, Clinton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zorning-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
She was born April 26, 1923, in Petersville to John and Margaret Monahan Reynolds. She married Peter L. Motroni Sr. He preceded her in death. She then married Roy S. Hume on Nov. 22, 1952, in Camanche.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She worked with the A.C. Nielsen Co. in Clinton for 25 years before retiring in 1987 as a record clerk.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Church, Clinton.
Survivors include her husband, Roy S. Hume of Clinton; four sons, Peter Motroni Jr. of Clinton, Timothy Motroni of Delmar, John Motroni of Vernon Hills, Ill., and Mark Hume of Johnsburg, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Mallicoat of Clinton; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Schreiner of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
