Mary Seifert, age 90, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, peacefully at her home surrounded by her children and family.

Mary Seifert was born Aug. 26, 1920, in DeWitt to James and Flora Tague. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.She married Harry Kirkpatrick Sept. 29, 1939, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt. She later married Charles Seifert March 26, 1949, in Dubuque. He died Sept. 11, 2004.

Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt. She was a blessing to all who knew her.

Mary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by a daughter, Candyce (Danny) Faust of Lincoln, Neb.; sons, Jerry (Judie) Kirkpatrick of Bettendorf, Charles (Janice) Seifert of Granbury, Texas, Mick (Bernie Atwater) Seifert of Clinton, Steve Seifert of DeWitt, Jack (Michelle) Seifert of Fulton, Ill., and Todd (Shelly) Seifert of DeWitt; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Tague of Florida and Richard Tague of Texas; brothers-in-law, John Seifert of DeWitt and George (Margaret) Seifert of Branson, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents; her husband, Charles; a son, Phillip; two daughters-in-law, Rhonda and Connie Seifert; an infant sister, Agnes Kathleen; and two brothers, Maurice and James Tague.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt Tuesday, Aug. 9, 3-7 p.m., where the Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m., and a scripture service held at 7 p.m.The Liturgy of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt with Father Robert Harness and Father Paul Connolly serving as con-celebrants.
