Connie (Mrs. Jeffrey) Leigh, 54, McCausland, died early Wednesday morning, July 27, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.

Connie was born Conswala Kay Davis, October 26, 1956 in Indiana, to Fred and Oleta "Faye" Davis. She graduated from Moline High School in 1974. Connie married Jeffrey Leigh, November 30, 1975 at First Christian Church in Davenport, Iowa. The couple resided at McCausland most of their married life where they raised their family. Connie provided childcare for many of the families in McCausland.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Davenport. Connie enjoyed gardening and being a caregiver for her parents and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Jeffrey; children, Shueree (Chad) Boley and their sons, Jevon, Jayden, Jakob and Jordan of Princeton, Iowa, Andy (Lori) Leigh and their daughters, Paityn and Madison of Parkview, Iowa, Ben (Audrey) Leigh and their children, Avery and Grant of LeClaire, Iowa, Jacob (Katie Miletich) Leigh and their daughter, Morgan of Parkview; siblings, Lamonta (Mrs. Jeffrey) Spranger of Moline, Illinois, Laversa (Mrs. James) Carlin of Eldridge, Iowa, Freddie Delwyn (Janet) Davis of Muscatine, Iowa, Steven (Karen) Davis of Buffalo, Iowa, Monique (Mrs. Scott) Copen of Milan, Illinois, Shane (Cheryl) Davis, Marlee Davis and Miela (Mrs. Lloyd) Claussen all of McCausland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Donna Leigh of Ft. Myers, Florida; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Connie in death were her parents and a sister-in-law, Edith Davis.

The family will receive friends at McCausland United Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, in the Church with Pastor Jeffery Bixby officiating. Burial will follow at McCausland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Davis, Tony Dipple, Josh, Kyle and Jaron Davis, Mike and Zack Firrell and Nathan Davis.
