Mrs. Mary (Mayme) Ruchotzke

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Church of the Visitation, Camanche, for Mrs. Mary (Mayme) Ruchotzke, 85, of 441 15th Ave., Camanche, who died Thursday at Mercy Hospital.

The Rev. John Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, Preston, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Elmer Petersen, Edward Cain, Harold Horst, Gerald Chamberlain, Venold Schaeffer and Jim Ruchotzke. Honorary pallbearers will be terrance, Steven, and Patrick Bronson and Michael and Randy Thompson.

Mrs. Ruchotzke was born Oct. 4, 1894 at Green Island, to Terrance and Jane Dear McMahon. She married Gustave Ruchotzke Aug 17, 1921. The couple farmed in the Preston area until he died in 1964, where she since lived with her son. She was a member of Church of the Visitation.

Survivors include a son, Ambrose, Camanche; two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary Jane) Bronson, Maquoketa, and Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Turner, Mesa, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, William, Maquoketa.

She was preceded in death by her husband a grandchild, and six.......
