Milo "Mike" Charles Scharff
(December 24, 1936 - June 4, 2007)

Milo "Mike" Charles Scharff, 70, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday at his home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Lemke Funeral Home-South, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Peter Scharff, Jay Gradert, Ken Gradert, Elmer (Bud) Jaeger, Michael Hilgendorf, and Jeff Rogis. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Mike was born December 24, 1936 on Clear Lake, MN to Ernest and Dorothy (Degree) Scharff. Mike was a 1956 graduate of Charlotte High School. He was confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Mike was self-employed as an owner of a tractor-trailer. He was an independent operator and went all over the United States. He retired in 1993. He also worked as a handy-man part time. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict from 1959-1963, where he earned a good conduct medal. He was also a member of the Eagles Club, Moose Club, and the Amvets.

Survivors include; one granddaughter; one grandson; sisters; Harriet (Larry) Simmons of Gooselake, IA; Karen (Darrel) Kensrud of Bloomington, MN; Yvonne (Earle) Gradert of Bryant, IA; brothers; Harry (Judy) Scharff of Charlotte, IA; and Richard (Evie) Scharff of Charlotte, IA; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son; Walter Ernest in 2003; his parents; one brother; and five sisters.
