Robert H. Girdham, 92, of Clinton, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Harmony House, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Church of the Open Door. Burial will follow in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Wenzel, Joe Howard, Don Schott, Leon Doescher, Ken Hartman, and Warren Kitts. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time Thursday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Robert H. Girdham was born on April 29, 1919 in Swanton, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Olive (Constable) Girdham. He married Maude Randall on September 22, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri; she died on February 20, 2003. He later married DeAnna Walters on October 23, 2004.

Bob was a 1937 graduate of Swanton High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1941-1945. He moved to Clinton in 1960 and worked at Champion/Dairy Pak and retired in 1982 from International Paper.

Bob was a member of the Church of the Open Door.

Bob is survived by his wife: DeAnna of Clinton; two nieces and one nephew.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one step-son, one step-daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mercy Hospice or the Church of the Open Door’s Cambodia Orphanage Fund.
