Dorothy M. Anderson, 92, of Clinton, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.

Dorothy Margaret Mohr was born on June 28, 1918 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Julia (Zerrien) Mohr. She married Fred “Bud” Anderson on April 20, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; he later died on February 13, 1996.

Dorothy was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School. She was a machine operator at Nielsen’s for 21 years, retiring in 1982.

Dorothy was an avid Chicago Cub fan. She enjoyed watching sports on tv, playing bingo, crocheting, and taking long rides in the country.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Carol (Dennis) Kair of Clinton, and Gerri (Highland) Nichols of Clinton; five grandchildren: David (Diane) Kair of Des Moines, Laura Davis of Clinton, Michael Kair of Cedar Rapids, Kevin (Janet Lynn) Nichols of San Antonio, Texas, and Tracy Nichols of Clinton, and five great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and one brother.
