Bettendorf, Iowa - Paul E. Schrader age 68 of Bettendorf, formerly of Clinton, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 15th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. The AMVETS will provide military rites. Following the services cremation rites will be accorded.

Paul was born in Welton, Iowa on April 12, 1943, the son of Carl and Bernadine Bloom Schrader. He graduated from Goose Lake High School. Paul married Jane Kerns on September 24, 1966 in Bryant. He served with the U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Oklahoma City during the Vietnam War. Paul was employed with E.I. DuPont for over 30 years. He was a member of the AMVETS and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Paul is survived by his wife Jane; two sons, Chad (Christy) Schrader, and their children Jake and Reece, of Davenport and Darrin Schrader of Clinton; two sisters, Phyllis Monday of Ferdinand, Indiana and Teresa (Jim) Salsbury of Davenport; five brothers, William “Bill” (Carol) Schrader of Charlotte, Richard “Dick” (Shirley) Schrader of Fulton, Kenneth (Gloria) Schrader of Camanche, John (Patsy) Schrader of Clinton and Steve (Carla) Schrader of Camanche; two sister-in-laws, Helen and Kathy Schrader both of Clinton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jim and Bob and a sister, Marge. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
