Clinton - Helen M. Hurlburt age 96 of Clinton, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 23rd at the First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Monday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael, William and Charles Warren, Richard Johannsen, Tim O’Donnell and John Loper.

Helen was born in Clinton on November 17, 1914, the daughter of John and Emma Edens Johannsen. She graduated from Clinton High School. Helen married Robert W. Hurlburt on June 27, 1938 in Clinton. Robert died on July 14, 1994. Helen had worked as a waitress and clerk at Warren’s and later at the A.C. Nielsen Company. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and baking.

Helen is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Hilbert, Emil and Kenneth and a sister, Florence. Memorials may be made to the church. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
