Gloria Mullin, 84, of Goose Lake, Iowa, died, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Trinity Pathway Hospice – Bettendorf, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 10:30am Monday, May 2, 2011, at Chancy Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Schauer officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Mullin, Mark Lee, Christopher Thompson, Terry St.Ores, Justin Scearcy, Peter Mullin and honorary pallbearer Luke Webinger. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Gloria Struve Seeman was born on November 11, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Cliffton and Martha (Struve) Seeman. She married John M. Mullin on September 1, 1947 in Bryant, Iowa.

Gloria and her husband John established and operated the Arrowhead Hunting and Conservation Club in 1952. This was the first private enterprise hunting preserve in Iowa.

Gloria dedicated much of her life to empowering and educating women about natural childbirth. Gloria enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, the outdoors, traveling, entertaining and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grand children.

Gloria is survived by six sons: Dale (Linn) Mullin Virginia Beach, Virginia, Daniel Mullin of Goose Lake, Iowa, Kevin (Donna) Mullin of Billings, Montana, Patrick (Diane) Mullin of Charlotte, Iowa, Louis (Mary) Mullin of Lena, Illinois, and James (Anne) Mullin of Goose Lake, Iowa; one daughter: Peggy (Lee) Cartwright of Charlotte, Iowa; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two grandsons.

Memorials may be made to The Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation (Diabetes Action) or the Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery.
